Michele Andrasik, PhD (she/her)
Clinical Health Psychologist, Vice President, Founder
Her expertise in developing harm reduction strategies in Washington has been profoundly shaped by her work with communities that have historically faced barriers to healthcare. Through her leadership in Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR), Dr. Andrasik ensures that harm reduction treatment programs truly serve the people who need them most.
At HaRT3S, she champions inclusive harm reduction methods that acknowledge and address the complex interplay between substance use, trauma, and systemic inequities. Her extensive experience training healthcare providers, researchers, and community organizations on implicit bias, stigma, and trauma-informed care helps ensure that harm reduction recovery programs are both effective and culturally responsive.
Dr. Andrasik’s work reminds us that successful harm reduction models must address the whole person and their community context. Under her guidance, HaRT3S is setting new standards for inclusive, equitable harm reduction treatment that recognizes and respects the diverse experiences of all people who use substances.
