Access all of our trainings via our Digital Learning Library so you can learn about harm reduction at your own pace. In this library, you can register for whichever trainings interest you, watch the trainings, and receive certificates of completion and APA CE credit (number of credits varies per training). Harm Reduction Treatment (HaRT) for Substance Use Training

HaRT Training is an 8-hour web-based training series presented over the course of two days, plus two case consultation sessions. In the training series, we will discuss, demonstrate, and role play the practice of HaRT in clinical and community-based applications.

Session 1:

Harm Reduction Theory and Evidence Base; Translating the HaRT Mindset and Heartset into Practice (4 hours)

Session 2:

Roleplaying Harm Reduction Assessment/Tracking, Goal-setting, and Safer-use Strategies (4 hours)

Supervising Staff in Harm Reduction Training

Supervising Staff in Harm Reduction is a 2-hour session for people in supervising and management positions who want to feel confident in the harm reduction model and learn how to create successful individual and group supervision spaces that align with harm reduction principles.

Trauma-informed Care Training

Our Trauma-informed Care training is a 1.5-hour session that provides a comprehensive guide to trauma, trauma-informed care, and how to apply trauma-informed care in your harm reduction practice.

De-escalation Training

Our De-escalation Training is a 2-hour session covering various de-escalation practices in the context of intoxication and harm reduction treatment.
